Hello, I’m Leda. Painting, writing, and photography have always been central to my life. They are the way I think things through and stay engaged with the world around me.
My studio practice and my writing have developed over many years. Sometimes taking centre stage, sometimes sitting quietly alongside other commitments, but always present. Painting, in particular, is where I work intuitively, where I work things through visually. I layer, revise, respond, and stay with a piece over time, allowing colour, form, and texture to express ideas that don’t yet have clear language.
Alongside my own creative work, I’ve spent many years working with people who are navigating change. Through this, I began to notice that the same creative approaches I rely on in my own life could also help others make sense of theirs. This observation eventually led to the development of The CREATiVE JOURNEY, which now complements my studio practice as a related but distinct body of work.
These days, my life has a rhythm I’ve come to value deeply. Time in the studio. Time writing. Time reading, thinking, and noticing. I’m as likely to be at my easel as at my desk, drawn to whatever form of creative expression feels most alive in that moment.
At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief: creativity isn’t only about producing work. It’s both a mindset and a process, a way of staying present, responding, and connecting with my internal and external worlds.
These are developed in response to particular contexts or moments of transition, and shaped with care to meet specific situations.
